Klimn Tamkeen training

Tableau training for your team, on your own data.

Every exercise runs on a sample of your data, and the last session is a build we review together. I teach what I use when I build dashboards for clients.

Typically two days per level, scoped on the call. Groups of eight to ten. Live, not recorded by default.

After the call you get the proposal and course outline in one file, with the vendor documents procurement asks for.

Level 1

Tableau Fundamentals

No prerequisite

From a blank workbook to an interactive dashboard. By the end, the team builds the standard charts without a template.

Full syllabus
  • The interface; connecting to Excel, CSV and databases, live and extract
  • Dimensions and measures, discrete and continuous
  • The standard charts; sorting, groups, sets, hierarchies, bins
  • Filters and dates; first calculations
  • Dashboards with actions; formatting; publishing

Tableau Agent and AI: Tableau Agent makes a chart from a prompt; the learner rebuilds it by hand and compares. AI sketches the wireframe before the build.

Plan a Fundamentals course

Level 2

Tableau Intermediate

After Fundamentals or equivalent

For analysts who publish dashboards and still fix data in Excel first. By the end, the team combines sources correctly and answers questions a plain aggregate cannot.

Full syllabus
  • Relationships, joins, unions, blends and when each is wrong
  • Data Interpreter and pivots
  • Table calculations: running totals, percent of total, rank
  • LOD FIXED; parameters; sets and set actions
  • Dashboard design; performance basics

Tableau Agent and AI: Agent and an AI assistant draft LOD and table calculations; the learner checks them.

Plan an Intermediate course

Level 3

Tableau Advanced

After Intermediate or equivalent

By the end, the team solves calculation problems the standard functions cannot and diagnoses a slow workbook.

Full syllabus
  • LOD INCLUDE, EXCLUDE and nested
  • Custom table calculations
  • Dynamic zone visibility; parameter and set actions
  • Sparklines, control charts, cycle plots
  • Performance tuning and extract strategy

Tableau Agent and AI: agent-ready data sources and dashboards, permissions and Tableau MCP, and building faster with AI while staying in control of the workbook.

Plan an Advanced course

Any tool

Data visualization principles

No prerequisite

Pick the right chart and be able to say why. The last session redesigns a chart or dashboard the team uses today.

Full syllabus
  • Encodings
  • Reading order and hierarchy
  • Color, type and accessibility
  • Dashboards for decisions
  • Critique

Tableau Agent and AI: judging machine-made charts against the principles.

Workshop

Tableau Agent and AI for teams

For the Tableau admin and the analysts together, before you turn Agent on. Which edition has which AI feature, what leaves your tenant and how, Tableau Server with your own AI model, and how to run a pilot.

Plan the workshop

If none of these fits, tell me what the team needs and I'll put a course together.

What your team keeps

Live and hands-on
The team works in Tableau in every session.
After each session
A solved workbook and a recap.
The final build
The team presents its own build, on your data, and we review it together.
Certificate
One per participant who completes, naming the level.

Questions

How many days is it?
Typically two days per level. Confirmed on the first call and stated in the proposal.
Our team is mixed. One course or two?
I talk to the team lead and recommend one level or a split before dates are fixed.
How many people in a group?
Eight to ten. Other sizes on request.
Can you teach on our data if we can't share it?
Yes. A sanitized or sampled extract works. If nothing can leave your network, I teach on-site from one of your machines, under NDA if you need one.
Arabic or English?
One language per course, slides and exercises included. Tableau's menus stay in English.
Are the sessions recorded?
Not by default. You can record on your own platform.
What do participants need?
Tableau Desktop, or a Creator seat on your Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, working before day one. No room requirements.
On-site or online?
Either. On-site, travel is in the proposal. Online runs on your meeting platform or mine.
