Three ways to run them

Tableau Exchange
Free in Tableau Desktop 2024.2 or later, Tableau Public and web authoring. On Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, viewers see a notice until it is licensed.
A trial on your server
I set up trial versions on your Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud with a demo workbook. If you already use the free version, the trial covers those extensions.
Licensed
Hosted by Klimn or on your own servers. You point your workbooks to the licensed extensions in Tableau Desktop. Nothing is rebuilt.

Questions

What is a Tableau viz extension?
A chart type you add to a worksheet from Tableau Exchange. It sits on the Marks card like Bar or Line and takes your fields.
Why not build the chart in Tableau?
A Sankey or a hierarchy table takes many calculated fields, or cannot be built at all. The extension gives you the finished chart from one dialog, reading left to right or right to left, with Hijri dates on date charts.
Which Tableau versions?
Tableau 2024.2 and later, on Desktop, Server, Cloud and Public.
What do we get with a license?
Licensed versions of the extensions you choose, hosted by Klimn or as a build for your own servers. You point your workbooks to them in Tableau Desktop.
Can it run on our own servers?
Yes. The extensions sit on a web server inside your network and nothing loads from outside.
Does our data leave Tableau?
No. The extensions make no outbound calls. Details on the page for Tableau admins.
Does my admin need to allow anything?
If your server blocks unknown extensions, your admin adds one address to the safe list: Klimn's when hosted by Klimn, your own when you self-host.
Who do I contact for support?
